Sir,
With reference to your Confidential despatch
of the 1st March, 1922, I have the honour to forward for
your information copies of the Vice-Chancellor's note to the Council of the University of Hongkong on the proposed donation by the Rockefeller Foundation, together with copies
of the speech delivered by the Vice-Chancellor at the
Congregation held on April 7th, 1922, when His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales received an Honorary Degree.
I may add that this Government will endeavour
to provide a site for the proposed hostel near the
Government Civil Hospital.
